Hung, plumb, still protected
The door is set on its pivot and leveled. Factory film stays on the glass, drop cloths protect the deck, and the level stays out until the final check.
Right · finished
Clean glass, clean deck
Film off, hardware on, debris hauled away. The homeowner gets the opening back the way it should look, with nothing to clean up.
Phase 1Prep the opening
Drop cloths go down first, and the new frame is checked inside the opening.
The installer works the top of the frame so it sits square in the wall.
Level, tools and supplies are staged next to the opening before the glass arrives.
Phase 2Bring the glass in
The wrapped panel is walked through the house, keeping floors and walls clear.
Two installers carry the oversized impact panel by hand.
They turn it through the tight interior without touching the finishes.
Phase 3Set and adjust
The panel is stood upright at the opening.
The crew tilts it into the frame together.
The door is seated on its pivot point.
From the ladder, the top pivot is adjusted so the door swings true.
The bottom is checked against the level until the gaps are even.
Phase 4Finish and hand over
Hung and plumb, with the protective film still on.
Film off and the deck cleaned.
